Privacy
This page describes what The Yonder stores and why, in plain language.
What we store
- Your account — when you sign in with Google we store your name, email address, and profile picture to identify your account.
- Your content — the prompts you submit, the audio clips and transcripts generated from them, and the shows you create. Clips are public by default and appear on the community feed; you can make any clip private or delete it from your library at any time.
- Usage analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies, we use PostHog to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, clips played, shares). Analytics data is processed on PostHog's US servers.
Cookies
| Cookie | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| __Secure-yonder.* | Keeping you signed in and securing the sign-in flow | Strictly necessary — always on |
| yonder-cookie-consent | Remembering your cookie choice | Strictly necessary — always on |
| ph_* (PostHog) | Usage analytics | Only after you choose "Accept analytics" |
You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. Declining analytics never limits what you can do on the site.
Deletion
Deleting a clip removes its audio file and transcript. To delete your account and all associated data, contact the site operator.
